Centre for Continuing Education of Lithuanian Veterinary Academy was established in December 11, 2001. The main task of the Centre is to organize and implement theoretical and practical continuing vocational training of veterinary doctors, the employees of food processing plants, specialists of animal husbandry technology, farmers and others.

Services

  1. Preparation of continuing education programs for specialists and employees in food safety, veterinary and animal husbandry as well as for formal and non-formal teaching of agriculturalists;
  2. Organization and implementation of continuing education courses, seminars, conferences, traineeships and other activities necessary for realization of the programs in various regions of Lithuania;
  3. Advice on hygiene, application of animal welfare standards;
  4. Advice on preparing tenders seeking to get a financial support from EU structural funds;
  5. Preparation and evaluation of HACCP systems for meat processing establishments;
  6. Preparation of development programs and business plans for good hygiene and, manufacturing practice aiming to get a financial support from EU structural funds for farmers, small enterprises and agricultural enterprises;
  7. Training to perform disinfection;
  8. Issuing of certificates after the completion of courses;
  9. Basic education of countrymen concerning cultural life, national and patriotic issues, healthy lifestyle, environmental protection, etc.
